Itinerary

Early morning drive from Kathmandu to Beni via Pokhara Highway, enjoying scenic views of rivers, terraced hills, and rural settlements. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and rest.

 

Optional: A 25-minute scenic flight to Pokhara can shorten travel time and drive to Beni.

Duration: 8–9 hrs drive / 25 min flight + 2.5 hours' drive (optional)

After breakfast, drive along the Kali Gandaki corridor via Tatopani. Beyond Tatopani, the road becomes rough and off-road, following a narrow mountain track to Hum Khola—the last motorable point.

 

From here, begin trekking through forested trails. The route ascends gradually, crosses a suspension bridge, climbs steeply to Gurase Danda, and descends to Phutphute Waterfall (tea stop). Continue uphill to Sadhi Kharka.

 

Note: Beginners may stay overnight at Hum Khola for better acclimatization.

A scenic trek through alpine terrain with gradual ascent. From Sadhi Kharka, the trail leads to Gufaphat, where cliffs open up with views of Tilicho Peak. Continue for about an hour to reach Busket Mela.

 

The campsite lies near a ΰ€¨ΰ€¦ΰ₯€ (river), the main water source (treated before use). No electricity or network—pure wilderness experience.

Duration: 3–4 hrs (~6 km)

Today is the highlight. Trek through rocky terrain with streams and waterfalls. Pass Sun Khola (River of Gold), known for its golden-hued stones.

 

Reach the sacred Panchakunda Lake, a cluster of five turquoise alpine lakes. Continue to North Annapurna Base Camp (4,190m). Since there is no proper campsite at base camp, overnight stay is arranged near Panchakunda.

Descend along the same trail back to Hum Khola. From here, drive to Tatopani, famous for its natural hot springs—perfect for relaxation after the trek.

Break the descent at Sadhi Kharka, and continue the next day to Hum Khola, then drive to Beni or Pokhara.
