Sustainable Tourism

Sustainable Tourism

At Ghumna Jaau Pvt. Ltd., our commitment to sustainable tourism is deeply ingrained in our business practices and ethos. We prioritize responsible tourism, solidarity with local communities, and fairness in our operations. Here's how we uphold these principles:

Plastic Pledge:

We actively discourage the use of single-use plastics on our trips, advocating for reusable water bottles and partnering with organizations like TAP and Plastic Pollution Coalition to eliminate plastic waste.

Animal Welfare:

We prioritize the well-being of animals by avoiding their exploitation on our trips. We've banned elephant rides and minimize the use of animals for transport. When necessary, we ensure they are treated ethically and with care.

Child Welfare:

We advocate for the protection of children from exploitation and abuse. Instead of giving money directly, we encourage supporting families or donating to children's charities. We educate our clients and locals about child welfare and prioritize respectful interactions with children.

Staff Welfare:

The welfare of our guides and porters is paramount. We adhere to government regulations, provide fair wages, and ensure proper insurance and equipment for our staff. We operate as a small family, prioritizing the well-being of everyone involved.

Supporting Primary Schools:

We are dedicated to supporting education in remote areas of Nepal. Ensuring access to quality education and life skills for children in underserved communities.

In essence, we believe in leaving a positive impact on the places we visit. Through sustainable practices and community support, we aim to create meaningful travel experiences while preserving the environment and supporting local livelihoods. As we venture into the world, let us take only memories and leave only footprints, ensuring a brighter future for generations to come.
