Trip Facts:
Changunaryan to Telkot & Nagarkot Hiking is an exciting day excursion walk through Tamang & Newar villages. The trail offers to observe the rural life, majestic mountains view & beautiful Bhadgaun (Bhaktapur) and Sankhu two ancient town. It takes 45minutes for 21 km away from Kathmandu to start hike from Changunarayan.
We will Visit the 4th century oldest historic Changunarayan temple, which is one of the most important temple. It carries the history of Nepal in carved stones. It will be easy walking through beautiful countryside villages & jungles we will get a chance to view the scenic range of Himalayas if the weather is clear. And explore the countryside and try some local cuisine on the way & feel the local way of Nepalese.
Changunaryan to Telkot takes 2 hour via gravel road or use old trail as well through villages and forest. Then Telkot to Nagarkot is an uphill hike via the Jalpa Devi Temple and Peace Buddha Park. The trail offers good views of mountain and valley.
Nagarkot Hill (2175m/7134ft.) is a popular hill station near from Kathmandu which offers view of five of the word’s ten highest mountains Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Makalu (8463m) and Manaslu (8163m). If may choose to spend the night and enjoy a splendid sunrise. Then Telkot to Nagarkot is an uphill hike via the Jalpa Devi Temple and Peace Buddha Park. The trail offers good views of mountain and valley. From Peace Buddha Park or Jalpa Devi Temple we will take another down-hill forest trail which leads to Muhan Pokhari. It takes 2 hours. Finally end our day hiking here.
7:00 AM: Pickup from Hotel
You guide will pick you up from Hotel and transfer to Changunarayan. It takes 45 minutes for 21km.
9:00 AM: Start hike from Changunaryan-Telkot-Muhan Pokhari /4-5 hours.
We will visit ancient Changunarayan Temple which is the historic temple in the valley and is said to be one of the oldest temple. You will see ancient statues & art crafted on the temple during your visit. And we start our hike at 9:00 AM from Changunarayan Temple to Telkot. It takes 2 hours. On the way, you will evidence local working in the field or grazing their goats. Then Telkot to Nagarkot is an uphill hike via the Jalpa Devi Temple and Peace Buddha Park. The trail offers good views of mountain and valley. From Peace Buddha Park or Jalpa Devi Temple we will take another down-hill forest trail which leads to Muhan Pokhari. It takes 2 hours. Finally end our day hiking here.
3:00 PM: End hike & drop off your hotel.
Final our representative vehicle will drop of your hotel.
